This sounds like a configuration issue. Can you send me screenshots of
RB Prefs > Mapping > Global Mapping and .. > Mapping > Plex (to info@iospirit.com
)?

When deleting Remote Buddy's prefs file(s), did you quit Remote Buddy
before doing so?
