The usual way to use AppleScript in Remote Buddy is to create an action and put the AppleScript in it as detailed in the Help’s „How do I…“ section.

If all you want is to launch an application, you can simply drag and drop the .app bundle of that application at the desired spot in your menu at Preferences > Menu.

If that application then makes XBMC the active application, Remote Buddy’s auto detection should automatically switch control to the XBMC behaviour.
