Re: Re: Support for Keyspan Express Remote (URM-17A)

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hello Frederic,

Thanks a lot for adding support for this remote! Remote Buddy looks
like awesome software, and my new EyeTV is arriving tomorrow.

Thank you!

Also, should the Keyspan software stay installed or should it be
deleted?

It should be sufficient to remove the kernel extension (via the menu
of the Keyspan DMR application) and instruct the Keyspan DMR
application to not start at login time (using the respective checkbox
in its window).

If you don't want to use the Keyspan software any longer, you can
completely uninstall it, though (Remote Buddy will assist you if it
can't get access to the Keyspan hardware).

Remote Buddy brings its own driver, which operates entirely from user
space and without kernel extension.

Best regards,
Felix
