Re: Does RB Auto switch behaviors...

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
The problem is, Remote Buddy activates the Front Row behavior anytime Front Row is used, which then disables the auto-behavior switching.

I am the author of DVD Assist. It is an Applescript utility that allows Front Row to access VIDEO_TS folders, UDF ISO images and MPEG2 tranport streams. DVD Assist watches Front Row, and when it sees Front Row play a placeholder movie for one of the above movie types, it kills Front Row and then tells DVD Player or VLC to play the appropriate media.

As far as I can tell, the only way to get into Front Row is to activate the Front Row behavior in Remote Buddy, which in turn turns off the auto-switching. When DVD Assist launches DVD Player or VLC, Remote Buddy continues to use the Front Row behavior, even though Front Row is no longer running, and either DVD Player or VLC is in front.

So, in the end, you either have to disable the Front Row behavior after Front Row has launched (In which case, Remote Buddy will switch to the appropriate behavior automatically.) Or, you have to switch the Front Row behavior off after DVD Assist has launched another program.

So, am I correct in assuming that the only way to activate Front Row is to Activate the Front Row behavior?
