Re: Acrobat 7.0 Standard

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hello Michael,

thanks for posting.

First of all, I have, from within Remote Buddy's sphere of influence,
no logical explaination for this behaviour. You should always be able
to scroll to and through the submenu and no code exists in Remote
Buddy that would allow to bring up the menu when pressing the minus
sign on the remote control. The menu button is currently hardwired to
displaying and hiding the Remote Buddy menu and there is no
configuration option that would allow you to use any other button for
this.

Could you please

1) Quit Remote Buddy
2) Download http://www.martinkahr.com/files/source/AppleRemote.zip
3) Start the contained application
4) Activate the "Listen to Remote" box in that app

and verify that every press of a button gives you the correct visual
feedback?

I see only two possibilities for this behaviour:

1) your Apple Remote has a fabrication error, sending the wrong
signals for the respective button presses
2) Apple changed the API (I did just check on my own MacBook Pro Core
2 Duo and Remote Buddy works just fine there, so I don't think is the
case)

For completeness, it would also be interesting, if you see any output
from Remote Buddy on the console (start Console.app and watch
console.log for output prefixed "Remote Buddy" while using Remote
Buddy).

Sorry for all the questions, but it's the only chance to get an idea
of what might be going wrong on your MBP C2D.

Best regards,
Felix

I am using default mapping for the apple remote. The plus sign
does nothing and the minus sign brings up the help menu. They are
supposed to affect magnification. I also can not scroll to the sub
menu for Acrobat that allows you to bring to front; show/hide; and
quit.

Is my script corrupted?
