Cant control Front row

I select front row from the media menu. However whenever i press a button it exits front row because remote buddy changes to the default behaviour!

Any ideas?

Hello Joe,

thanks for asking.

Are you using a mobile phone or the hotkey remote by any chance?

Both of these are incompatible with Front Row for it not listening to
keyboard events in a normal way but rather at the HID level (=> so
hotkeys are not filtered out of the event stream as usual).

Best regards,
Felix

Hello Joe,

the DMR does not support wake-up as far as I know. I have not found
the time to investigate possibilities support wakeup in the drivers
for the Express and iTunes edition of the Keyspan Remote packages
either.

The only Keyspan remote that does support wakeup in conjunction with
Remote Buddy right now is the Keyspan RF Remote for Front Row - but
it's RF based, so the Apple Remote can't be used with it. It brings
its own remote, though - which isn't a beauty, but it works nicely
and offers a couple more buttons.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the praise! :-)

Best regards,
Felix

Ill look into that keyspan for front row then. I actually meant the phillips reciever though. Does that in conjunction with the apple remote support wake from sleep?

Many Thanks

I'm afraid you can't wake the Mac with the Phillips receiver and an
Apple Remote either. There may or may not be in the future. Motivated
by your posting, I'm currently doing some research on the topic.
