Does RB support the Hauppauge Media Center remote control ir receiver?

I'm still looking for a compatible ir receiver and came across this from Hauppauge in Singapore. Anyone know if this ir receiver is compatible with RB?

Media Center remote control

Remote control for Microsoft's Media Center application, with IR receiver and IR transmitter, for use with the Media Center application in Windows XP MCE or Vista.

The Media Center remote control can be used to control all Media Center functions, such as MyTV, MyRadio, MyMusic, MyPictures and more!

And the built-in IR transmitter will enable Media Center's MyTV function to control a satellite or cable TV set top box.

I'm afraid, though, I can't extract enough info from either the image
nor the description as to whether it is compatible with Remote Buddy.

I have one of these exact remotes and i've been trying really hard to get this going - maybe one of the developers can let me know if i should give up or not.

I'm on a mac mini G4 so there's no native IR receiver in there so i'm using the IR receiver that came in that kit. It's been detected as an "ehome receiver" which i guess is a good sign? the problem is that it's looking for an apple remote and not my hauppauge remote. How can i fix that?

Currently, the only remote supported by Remote Buddy with eHome receivers is the Apple Remote.
