Front Row acting weird
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,

I can get front row to activate with the keyboard shortcut, but remote buddy just refuses to activate it. I've tried re-installing the kext.

Also is it possible to sleep the display with remote buddy?

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Thanks for asking.

Are you using a machine that comes with Front Row pre-installed - or
did you install Front Row yourself. For the latter case, Andrew
Escobar's method is the only one I do test.

While AE's solution has it's own set of issues attached to it, Remote
Buddy knows and works around them. Other solutions, especially those
that ask youto modify the Info.plist file of a kernel extension to
fake an IR receiver are neither officially supported nor recommended.

Best regards,
Felix

Well, im on a mac pro. Front row was working fine until an update of remote buddy. Now remote buddy won't activate front row, but the keyboard shortcut will activate it.

How did you install Front Row?

Did you use Andrew Escobar's Enabler? Or something else?
