Is it possible to disable Mousespot entirely?

You can turn off automatic Mousespot activation at Preferences >
Behaviours > Virtual Mouse > Options. It will not become active at all
again unless you manually demand Remote Buddy to do so.

it seems aparent that for a number of us that's not working.
I have the option "activate and deactivate with behaviour" unchecked and despite that, mousespot *always* comoes up no matter what :)

a) sorry for the double-post of the same answer. The two threads on
the same topic confused me to the point that I gave the same reply
twice in a row ;-)

b) please see "Wiimote + virtual mouse behaviour" for the answer and
place any follow-ups on that subject there.

Best regards,
Felix
