How do I add cover art display to Movies (VIDEO_TS launcher)?
View

Hi

I like to see the cover art of the DVD (VIDEO_TS)
in remote buddy Movies, How do I do that?

BTW -
is there a user manual for RB? (If there is) where I can find it?

Thx for the help :-)

Hi,

you can add covers to your VIDEO_TS folders by organizing your files
like this

Movies/Some DVD/
Movies/Some DVD/cover.jpg
Movies/Some DVD/VIDEO_TS/

(cover.jpg can also be cover.png, or cover.gif - only the file name
suffix matters, it can also be called v4hn8743thz0.jpg, if you so want)

Best regards,
Felix

Does this only work with the VIDEO_TS launcher (and does the launcher only work with VIDEO_TS folders, not other movie types)?

I would really like cover art for all my movie files (.avi, .mkv etc.) when browsing them.

My dream for Remote Buddy is this:

You can add other movie types as well by organizing your files like this

Movies/Some Title/
Movies/Some Title/cover.jpg
Movies/Some Title/VIDEO_TS/
Movies/Some Title/VIDEO_TS/some movie file.avi

(cover.jpg can also be cover.png, or cover.gif - only the file name
suffix matters, it can also be called v4hn8743thz0.jpg, if you so want)

Thanks for the reply Felix.

Would it be possible to make it work without organizing in VIDEO_TS folders in a future version?

It would be a lot of work having to organize my whole collection :)

And what about the screenshot I linked to, could that ever happen in Remote Buddy?

Regarding the screenshot:
I usually only see the original posts as I handle the entire forum
through my mail account and edits don't lead to a resend. That's why I
didn't comment on it.

The movie library is certainly an area where you'll see improvements
in future versions.
