Custom Actions

I like the new "Close menu" option on the custom actions. I was debating asking about that before. It prompts me to mention two other thoughts I have related to it. Both are strictly "polish".
1. It would nice to have the option to not display the group of the action in the menu. I find it just clutters things up. I tried leaving the group empty, but it displays "[(null)]" instead.
2. It would also be cool to be able to select an icon for the custom actions instead of the default RB icon. Just being able to select from the builtin and behavior icons would probably cover 99%.
These are only pluses, great app otherwise!

Hello Phil,

1. if you're adding custom actions through the BCK, they'll always
carry brackets. If you add custom actions through the default "Custom
actions" mechanism in Preferences > Mapping, no group will be
displayed. Since V1.7 you can also define global actions there.

2. if we're talking about menu customization, you should already be
able to do this by simply draging and dropping your custom artwork
over the respective menu item in the configuration table.

Best regards,
Felix

And you are correct. :-) Very nice.
I didn't see the global on the custom actions; always made them in BCK. Didn't know about the drag and drop either, guess I should have tried that one.

I did notice a UI gremlin when trying what you suggested. If you have a profile, and only a profile, selected in Prefs>Menu, then click on Prefs>Mapping, then back to Prefs>Menu, the Menu layout list will be empty. You need to click on a different profile then back to get it to fill. Refresh bug of some sorts.

Thanks,
Phil
