Command-W and Close functionality on RB windows
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Could you add Command-W and Close menu functionality to RB Windows? They include preferences, behavior construction kit, about dialog... it would be great if one could close them via the keyboard shortcut instead of the mouse.

Thanks for asking.

This would require a menu shortcut whereas Remote Buddy is often used
in a menu-less ("dockless") mode. It'd also make it impossible to
directly enter Cmd+W in shortcut fields.

I understand that RB is usually used in dockless mode, but there is a menu bar, and there is a "Window" menu, so that shouldn't be a problem...

Maybe... but why is this not an issue with Cmd-Q? RB has a Cmd-Q in the menu bar, and it doesn't affect shortcut fields when active. Couldn't the same thing be done for Cmd-W?

Please consider it, this would be a great functionality, to make RB more OSX-compliant, I'd love being able to close windows easily with cmd-W. Thanks!
