Wii Remote Gyro functions?
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,

Trying out the trial here with the wii remote and wondering if there is any way to access the gyro features of the wii remote? I only see ways to access the physical buttons on the remote.

Thanks,

Tony

Thanks for asking.

The motion sensor as such is not suitable for precise mouse control.
Using the buttons for this is more efficient. That's why no "motion
sensor only"-functionality is supported.

If you have a Wireless Wii Sensor Bar (or any other source of strong
IR source like a bright candle), however, you can use the Wii Remote's
built-in IR camera to control your mouse with it. That's called the
"IR mouse mode" and can be turned on/off by a press on button "1" in
default configuration.
