Main Menu changes depending on open program

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.

Something that I recently noticed that I don't recall happening before: The main RB menu (where you select applications) is different if I access it when Finder as the active program than if EyeTV is. The EyeTV accessed menu is the correct one (the one checked in the preferences as my main menu). The menu in Finder lists all the applications installed on my machine. How do I make it so my self-selected menu is universal?
