Icon & Decsription for Behavior without an associated application
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi;

I have created a behavior which is not associated with an application.

The behavior appears in the Mapping, Behavior etc lists but there's no title / decsription / name or icon for the behavior.

I was expecting to be able to paste an image into the "Behavior & Menu Metadata" square box on the right, and for the name I entered inBehavior & Menu Metadata:Name to appear in the list of Behaviors but it does not.

Thanks

Thanks for asking.

You can add an image by just dragging and dropping it from the Finder.

and for the name I entered inBehavior & Menu Metadata:Name to appear in the list of Behaviors but it does not.

Once you created a Behaviour, you also need to compile and install it. Please see the Remote Buddy Manual at

http://helpbooks.iospirit.net/remotebuddy/english/howto.html#CreateOwnBehaviour

for a list of needed steps. The video showing the complete creating of a Behaviour might also be helpful. You can watch it at:

Hi;

Thanks, yes, I have been using RB for a couple of years, I know that the behavior needs to be compiled and installed, it is compiled and installed and working perfectly.

The only problem (which does no affect it's operation) is that it appears in the list of Behaviors without a behavior name, it just looks like a blank line, but you can select it and also map it's actions.

Please have a look at this screen shot: http://home.peter-c.net:8088/misc/rb_noname.png

I have tested this numerous times and no Behavior name appears in the left hand panel.

Yes, the icon does work if you drag it in, I was trying to copy and paste but that does not work.

Thanks
