mouse click/drag with wii remote

I would like to emulate clicking and dragging using the wii remote as a mouse. When I assign "hold left mouse button" to a wii remote button, however, I have to press the button again to emulate releasing the mouse button.

Is there a way to fully emulate the mouse click/drag such that when I release the button on the wii remote, the mouse button releases?

Thanks for asking.

Assuming, you're making use of the IR Mouse Mode, you can achieve this by using the default mapping for the Wii Remote. The "left click" action that's assigned by default actually emulates a press when you press the remote's button and releases it only when you release the remote's button again.
