Eyetv HD manual controls?

I have a manual TV set up with my directv hr20 and the way things are set up with my setup the receiver is turned off when not in use. Well with the eyetv app you cant do any manual control via the eyetv hd ir blaster. I was looking at purchasing this software to see if it would allow me to send manual controls down the IRBlaster from the eyetv hd box. Any help would be appreciated :)
