Hi.

I'm from Moscow/Russia. How can I exclude VAT value from total price during checkout?

Hello Roman,

Thanks for asking.

Short answer:
Remote Buddy costs 19.99 Euro worldwide. No VAT is included for purchases from Russia.

Long answer:
We've two different net prices depending on where you purchase from:

1) 16.80 Euro for citizens of the European Union, plus 19% VAT, total 19.99 Euro

2) 19.99 Euro for the rest of the world with no VAT included or added, total 19.99 Euro

The total price is 19.99 Euro worldwide. Why?

We want everybody to pay the same price for the same product. To achieve this, we pay the 19% VAT for EU citizens. Just like we pay the several times (!!) higher transaction fees and the additional administrative costs for purchases from outside the EU for that group of customers. Sure, both could be added on top. Some companies do that. And it sure would increase our profits. But at what price? Where's the point of even providing pricing information if that's not what you end up paying? What's the point if your price is higher anyway - depending on where you come from and how you want to pay? I love transparency. That's why we have only one price: 19.99 Euro. That's the price on our website. That's what you pay for a single user license. Regardless of where you come from or how you'd like to pay.

In the store itself, all steps that follow the step where you provide your country, whether or not VAT is included is displayed explicitly as either "19% VAT" or "0% VAT" throughout the rest of the purchase process. You see exactly the numbers and conditions that apply to your own purchase. This includes the final overview before posting the purchase as well as all emails and the PDF invoice.

So, once you have entered a Russian address and proceed, you'll see "0% VAT" in the final "check your purchase details" page that follows, as well as in all confirmation emails and the PDF invoice you'll receive after payment.
