You can launch apps directly from Remote Buddy’s menu. To add it, just

1) go to Preferences > Menu 
2) only if you haven’t already: create a profile of your own (via the „+“ button), then select it (by selecting it and hitting the „checkmark“ button) 
3) drag and drop the app from the Finder to the place you want it to show up in the menu

You can navigate to that place in the menu using your remote and launch it from there by simply selecting it.
