"Connect to a Bluetooth remote" is fade out
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi, I can't connect my BD Remote to Remote Buddy under Yosemite. The option 'connect to a bluetooth remote' is fade out, so I can't select this. I can only select install or remove drivers.

I tried connecting my BD Remote again to OS X, via the bluetooth menu in control panel, but I wasn't unable to connect it. I tried removing the strings etc. as mentioned in your FAQ, but it didn't solved the problem. The option connect to a bluetooth remote stays grey.

Can you help me?

Regards,
Bas

Thanks for asking.

In order to use Bluetooth devices with Remote Buddy, you need to install the driver first. Once the driver is installed (and Bluetooth is turned on on your Mac), the second option becomes available, too.

The driver that comes with Remote Buddy and that you can install through Remote Buddy's Setup Wizard option "Install / Uninstall driver" (which I thought you referred to in your first sentence).

Hope that helps.
