How do i 'maximise' window?
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi Felix,

Good update again. Just downloaded last night and gave it a quick try - I was concerned with the extra features it would be getting too complex to use easily, especially for someone using it for the first time, but it seems to be pretty intuitive still, and 'just works'... Still waiting for custom menus thought so i can set everything up just how i want... :)

Anyway, dont know if i'm missing something obvious, but how can i maximise a application, either if it's minimised in the right of the dock, or in the background in the left of the dock? Is this possible with RB?

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy,

thanks for your posting!

Remote Buddy right now can "only" show and hide a window ("show" and
"hide" as in the application's main menu), but not maximize or
minimize individual application windows. The main reason for this is
that to the best of my knowledge OS X does not offer any API for
applications to minimize or "maximize" windows that run in the
context of another application. I'll keep looking into it, but for
now there is no direct way of doing this.

However, a way to do this is the accessibility behaviour (you need to
change the mapping to activating the dock instead of using the
default - activating the menu, though), although its not the most
direct way. You find it in the "System" category.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
Felix
