Hello Craig,
what you suggest is perfectly possible - although with one more step.
1) Enter RB's Preferences
2) Choose the "Menu" pane and select "Craig's profile" from above the
right listview.
3) Drag the folders you want to add from the Finder into the custom
menu.
And you're done. Now, when using the Remote Buddy menu, you'll be
able to directly browse those directories, and - given the emulator
software you want to use has a proper Info.plist file included which
indicates it can handle .zip files directly - select the emulator of
your choice.
Best regards,
Felix
I'm sort of new to OS X so please somebody let me know if there is
a better way to do this:
I'm trying to use the new Custom Menu in Remote Buddy to display a
listing of files (.zip) in a specific folder. When I select a file
I want it to open up in a specific application(an emulator). I
would like to do this for a bunch of different menus. They would
all display a listing of .zip files but each menu folder would open
that set of .zip files in a different application.
Basically, all of my game console roms are in zip format but they
each need to open in a different emulator.
Is this possible in Remote Buddy by using an OS X Action or something?
Thank you for your help. P. S. Remote Buddy is fantastic.
