RemoteBuddy preview 9b crashes
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi Felix!

RemoteBuddy version 9b crashes since the update of EyeTV (version 2.3.2).It's the first time with your software.

I'm obliged to use the function "Force to quit".

Oh, and i always have the same bug with Japanese characters in the window of information during the change of song with iTunes.

P.S : News of the localization in other languages?

Best regards,
Vincent.

Hello Vincent,

thanks for your email.

Does it hang or actually crash?

If it does crash: please send me the Remote Buddy.crash.log from ~/
Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ to info@iospirit.com.

If it does hang: please launch Activity Monitor, select Remote Buddy,
use the "Analyze" function and copy and paste the output into a mail
to info@iospirit.com.

I can then see, what is triggering the problem.

I'm sorry not having been able to look into the Japanese characters
yet. But it's not forgotten!

Regarding localization, I've not been able to find time to write a
localization tool yet. However, I do now know how I'll organize
localization lateron, so if you want to localize Remote Buddy, all
you'd have to do is localize all the Localizable.strings files in
Remote Buddy.app/Contents/Resources/ and Remote Buddy.app/Contents/
PlugIns/*.*behaviour/Contents/Resources/. It's quite a bit of work,
but it's work that'll definately be reusable as soon as I get to
write the localization tool.

Best regards,
Felix
