Hello Nicolai,

thanks for the suggestion.

I don't, however, see, any viable way to add support for it. Sorry.

Best regards,
Felix

Here is how I am using the apple remote with Matinee.
1. Followed the video insructions in the "For Developer" link to create a new behaviour using the kit for matinee.
2. The instructions were excellent but I had some problems when I reached the default mapping step. While mapping the apple remote keys, I did not see the newly added Matinee's key events in the pop up list. This was solved by quitting Remote buddy and then starting again. Now I could see the Matinee's events.
3. Now when I pressed the apple remote, I did not see Matinee in the list of applications. To solve this problem, I went to the preference of Remote buddy, opened the menu tab, switched the profile from Remote buddy to my name and then dragged the matinee listed on the left column to the behaviour listed under my profile.
4. All is fine now and I can see and use matinee from the remote.
5. But once the movie starts, you need to press the menu button once to bring up Matinee and then deactivate it so that you can control the apple dvd menu from the remote.
6. Also I have only mapped 3 controls of Matinee with the remote. To browse movies on your hardisk and to play them.
command N for next
command P for prev
enter for play.
7. Setup complete and everything works fine now.

Hello Debashis,

thanks for sharing! I wasn't aware of those shortcuts previously :-)

A few notes:

2. Yes, that's a bug I stumbled over just a few days ago as well. The
next version will have it fixed.
3. It should turn up automatically if you use the default
configuration. It of course won't in any customized menu.
5. I hope to solve that conceptional problem of Remote Buddy with the
next release.

Again, thanks a lot for your efforts and support!

Best regards,
Felix

Hi

Is this behaviour (Matinee) installed by default on install?

Hello Nick,

there is no Behaviour for Matinee shipping with Remote Buddy right
now. However, it will be with the next release.

Felix
