Active behavior for remote buddy

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
When using EyeTV to play a Quicktime file, only part of the mapped
functionality for EyeTV works. All of it works for files recorded
within EyeTV. The same thing happens when I use CyTV (server for
EyeTV) that calls VLC. I only get a part of the controls for VLC. I
assume it is an issue of the difference between foreground and
background applications vs. active behavior for Remote Buddy. How
can I tell what is the active behavior and how do tell Remote Buddy
to use a behavior based on what program is active vs. which program
is in the foreground?
