My Mac mini HTPC project is going nicely with RB playing a big part in it. I increasingly think that a real remote controller, not mouse nor iPod touch is the way to control HTPC from the living room sofa. Remote controller can be operated with one hand, looking at the big screen (iPod touch fails on both accounts) and without a surface needed by mouse.
I've also just realized how good a remote controller Apple remote actually is. It really can be used without ever looking at it. That can't be said about most more complicated remotes out there.
Anyway, I also noticed that I now can control most of the applications that I want to in my HTPC set-up reasonably well with RB, with one exception: Safari. I like to use Safari every now and then to check TV schedules, news, weather and sports scores. And there's also increasing amount of video content available on the web, of course. (I guess I don't have to argue about the usefulness of web :-))
So I was thinking that it would be cool if my Safari bookmarks would be available in RB's Safari options menu structure. I could check the pages I want by just selecting them from there.
Felix, I'm sure you have thought something along these lines.
What say you? I'd guess it probably wouldn't be too difficult for you to generate the bookmarks menu structure from Safari's bookmarks? (Perhaps some configurability could make sense, like max number of entries).
What about others, than Felix? Do you think something like this would make sense?
I think that the defining application of our generation, the browser, would deserve some more love from Remote Buddy.
Could be quite useful for presentations as well, not just in HTPC setting?
Just a thought...
