IR Receiver Not Recognised!

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi!

I thought I'd try out the trial of Remote Buddy, since I am looking for a program with all its features! I have run into a problem though. I am running Leopard 10.5.5 and Remote Buddy cannot find my IR receiver! I have run the Diagnostic program and it says it cannot detect the receiver. In the list of devices in Remote Buddy, I only have the virtual receiver :(

The strange thing is, though: In About My Mac, the IR receiver is detected! AND, using the remote works for the default actions, such as changing system volume, changing tracks in iTunes, etc. - only Remote Buddy has a problem. Here are my specs:

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks

Jon
