How to put Applescript app in Main Menu, use another app's behavior?

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I couldn't figure out how to do this from the FAQ or manual...sorry :|

I use the XBMC behavior with my Apple remote. I'd like to add a second XBMC behavior that FIRST turns off Display Mirroring before launching XBMC (similar to Command-F1).

I've written an Applescript that first turns off Display Mirroring, then launches XBMC. This Applescript is compiled as an application.

How can I have this Applescript application appear in the opening menu (along with the other applications) and use the exact same behavior I've customized for XBMC?

To summarize, instead of selecting XBMC from the opening screen menu, I'd like to select my Applescript application which disables Display Mirroring and launches XBMC, which then functions using the XBMC behavior. Possible?

Thanks...

btw...love the product!
