Remote Buddy loses registration on quitting (Yosemite)

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Since upgrading to a new Mac and Yosemite, Remote Buddy loses its registration status when the app is quit. When I re-enter my registration details, everything works fine again (including the online verification), but when the app is quit (whether manually or on reboot), it reverts to "testing" status. I've tried deleting all configuration files (plists etc.) and re-installing the application and the driver, but that didn't change anything :(
