Unknown Administrator Privilege Requester

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
On trying to update from version 1.26.1 to 1.31.1 using the inbuilt update checker the latest version is downloaded and an administrator's credentials are requested by "Remote Buddy" - which seems fine - but after entering those the same is requested by a process called CURelauncher. I searched the web for guidance on this to no avail so declined the request and the update does not complete. I'd like to know what CURelauncher is and in particular whether it's safe to provide it with administrator credentials. This, by the way, is on Lion.
