Re: Some questions ;-P

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hello Vincent,

First question:

Will there be a French localization (i can help) or in
another language?

Thanks for offering help! The problem right now is more of a
technical nature right now since I lack a tool to organize
localization of all the Localizable.strings files contained in the
project. At least none of the tools I tried could do this, so I might
end up writing one of my own.

Second question:

The posting of information during the change of song with
iTunes behaviour (or Coverflow's behaviour) could it be much larger
and in the center of the screen, because it is currently illegible
when I'm far from the screen.

Thanks, that's a good idea!

Third question:

Can I've access directly with the playlists, radios and
videos in the menu of iTunes (like the menu of eyeTV with TV
stations and recordings)?

That's planned :-)

Fourth question:

Coverflow 's behaviour could it have the pauses function in
addition?

That's an easy one. Expect it in preview 7. :-)

Fifth question:

DVDpedia (http://www.bruji.com/howto/fullScreen.html) and
Awaken (http://www.embraceware.com/products/awaken/) have a Full
Screen mode. Will Remote Buddy manage these two applications?

Awaken is already on the ToDo-list. I do still have to have a look at
both of them, though.

Sixth question:

Do you know iAlertU (http://www.slappingturtle.com/home/)
for the Macbook and Macbook Pro? Will RB manage this fun
application? ;-)

I've contacted the author of iAlertU a while back. Since I don't have
a MB Pro yet (waiting for them to carry Core 2 Duos), I'm currently
looking for betatesters with MacBook and MacBook Pro ..

Seventh question: ;-)

Let us continue with the applications. Will have a
management of iChat/Skype (to accept or not one audio/video
communication for example),Quicktime Broadcaster (http://
www.apple.com/quicktime/broadcaster/), Delicious Library, Shiira 2
(which has a Full Screen mode) and to finish Dashboard.

Full Dashboard support is unlikely, since it has no keyboard
shortcuts afaik (please correct me, if I am wrong). You can invoke/
hide it already, though. Regarding the rest of the apps: noted down
and I'll have a look. :-)

Eighth question:

Low battery visual notification like ....?

I don't know of a single user (that's with tens of thousands of
downloads of Remote Buddy to date) who has ever had issues with their
battery and could thus provide me with testing material. I didn't
have any problems either, although - as the developer of Remote Buddy
- I am certainly a power user ;-) .. or like the FAQ for the AirClick
USB (http://www.griffintechnology.com/support/article.php?artnum=92),
which probably needs more energy since it uses RF rather than IR, says:

"With normal use, the AirClick Remote's battery should last for the
life of the product."

If you or anybody here ever had problems with their battery, please
let me know .. if the Apple Remote or its driver really sends such a
warning, it'll take less than ten lines of code to add such a
warning :-)

Afflicted for these questions and requests, the next time I would
be more constructive on the bugs and possible improvements of the
current functions, but your application is so superb that one dreams
that it's perfect ;-)

Oh, I found this posting of yours to be very good and
constructive! :-) .. I wouldn't mind more of this, either ;-)

Thank you for your patience. Tschüß! ;-P

Thanks for sharing so many good ideas!

Best regards,
Felix
