External TFT on MacbookPro

Hi there,

just got a tiny little question - i'm using RemoteBuddy in combination with a Macbook Pro
So when i'm at home i'm plugging a 20" TFT into it.
One thing that bothers me a little is that i always have to change the preferenced monitor from my notebook-display to the external display in order to see the remotebuddy menu there.
Is there a slight possibility to integrate a method into remotebuddy that recognizes an external display and then puts the remotebuddy-menu to it?

Cheers,
Markus

Hello Markus,

thanks for sharing.

So, would an option to always have Remote Buddy on the main screen
(whichever it currently is), help?

You can, btw, also move the Remote Buddy menu from within the menu
itself via System > Screen settings > Screen > Move menu to ...
or configure your own, custom menu to place that menu item right in
the top level, where it's easily accessible.

Best regards,
Felix

Hi Felix,

exactly, that's what i was looking for. ;-)
I've been aware of the functions you spoke of, but unfortunately they require to actually have both displays in one's sight - i usually turn the main display 180° round to watch movies etc. and often forget to set the right display. So it's more like a wish out of lazyness then a lack of funcionality within the software. ;-)

Thanks and Cheers,
Markus

BTW: Gibt es auch ein deutsches Supportforum für Remotebuddy? :-)

Hi Markus,

thanks for giving me the extra info.

I'll be sure add that feature.

There's no German support forum for Remote Buddy right now I'm
afraid. It would very likely mean that each question has to answered
twice. I may consider adding one in the future, though, depending on
how all this develops.

Best regards,
Felix
