Screen Detection
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi, I am using Remote Buddy on a Mac Mini connected to my TV set. The Mac recognizes the TV and provides custom resolutions for it. Problem is, this works only if Mac is turned on or gets out of sleep when the TV is already on. If the Mac is turned on before TV, I have to go to the "screen" menu item, click "detect display", then change resolution by hand.
I was able to create an applescript to change resolution, but since osx does not know that it is connected to the tv, the picture is not centered correctly. Is there any way to provide access to the "detect display" functionality via remote buddy?

Thanks!

Hello Christian,

thanks for asking.

Right now I wouldn't know a direct way to achieve this. You could try
to use UI scripting with System Preferences, though.

Best regards,
