EyeTV and VLC problem.
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
When VLC (playing a DVD) is launched after EyeTV I get a sound error generated from VLC stating a sound source can't be found. I suspect this is because EyeTV has control of the sound source as this problem does not occur when EyeTV is not loaded.

Mac Mini (Intel)
EyeTV 2.0
VLC 0.86b

This may be a problem with the EyeTV or VLC software however just interested if anyone else has seen this or if there may be a workaround.

Nobody did ever report any such problem to me before. I notice,
however, that your EyeTV version is pretty old. You may want to try
with the latest versions of all applications involved.

Did you try searching the web for the exact error you are given by
VLC? If there's a problem, there's usually also a report by someone
else on it - and often a solution.

Best regards,
Felix
