RB Interfering with KB input/Apple key?
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I've been playing around with setting up a media server using DVDpedia and RB (seems to be a common theme :p ), but I've been having trouble setting up behaviors that do exactly what I need. I would like to be able to access my iTunes library (with CoverFlow?) and my movies (somehow making them playable through DVDpedia, ideally), but I can't seem to get behaviors that don't strand me in input-less limbo, with a keyboard that sometimes doesn't work and an Apple key that doesn't work at all (even after Force Quitting RB) until I restart. I'm totally baffled.

(Using an early MBP, OSX 10.4.10, latest RB/DVDpedia... I can post my feeble attempts at behaviors if that'd help.)

If anyone can tell me what's going on, or point me to a guide for setting up DVDpedia/RB, or ANYTHING, that'd be great! :)

Hi there!

Unless

- you're using any of the "toggle" actions from the Virtual Keyboard,
which will keep pressing a modifier key until you execute them again

- or use any of the Virtual Mouse’s "toggle button"-like actions,
which will keep pressing a mouse button until you execute them again
(and OS X will for the most part ignore you keyboard events as long
as i.e. the left mouse button is pressed)

- or you use AppleScript & "System Events" to post a keystroke

every keystroke actor in the BCK will also always send a release event.

If you want me to look at your Behaviour and/or actions, send me an
action pack and/or Behaviour I should look at to info@(the domain of
this website). Instructions on how to reproduce your observations
would also be welcome, so that I can get an idea of what exactly to
look at.

Best regards,
Felix
