2 small issues, aliases and long filenames

Alright, I've got RB mostly tamed the way I wanted ;-)

My setup is all one default custom behavior that triggers mostly applescript calls to a custom controller app.

I have a fair number of file system aliases in my menu structure. RB resolves these fine and opens them, but resolves them as folders only when you choose to dive into them, not on their initial display (they miss the right arrow graphic). Would it be relatively simple when displaying a menu level to check each item, and if it is a folder alias, display as a container with right arrow?

Seocnd is that I have a number of files that have long file names. There is a way to increase the overall size of the menu UI in the general prefrences, but I would love to be able to use more of my widescreen...

Thanks,

-Preston

Hello Preston,

thanks for asking.

Actually, adding auto-resolving of folder aliases wouldn't even cost
me a line of code thanks to the filesystem abstraction layer I use
(originally developed for Picture Arena's next version).

The problem, though, is that aliases can point anywhere, including
network volumes. So, if you would browse a directory full of aliases
to network volumes, Remote Buddy would mount all of them - which will
not only need time but is also not what you might want it to do.

Regarding the long filenames: I'm aware of the problem and hope to
provide a decent solution with one of the next updates.

Best regards,
Felix
