WIIRemote / Nunchuk Support
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I am new to both the Mac and your software, but I must commend you on both your software and your support. I have reviewed several posts and you seem to be very attentive to your users. The software is awesome. Both the control and the interface are amazing.

Now on to my question. I think I have reviewed the forum and the web enough to safely say that the Nunchuk is not currently supported as a mouse interface. Do you have any plans to incorporate this piece into your software? Or, do you find that using the WiiRemote in IR mode is sufficient? I have not been able to test the IR mode, so I am wondering what people are using as a mouse replacement.

Thanks in advance for any comments/assistance.

Thanks for asking.

You're absolutely right in that the Nunchuk is currently not supported
by Remote Buddy. I think the IR mode of the Wiimote is absolutely
awesome and now that battery-driven sensor bars are also available via
Amazon (search for the term "sensor bar"), it's also simple to set up
without having to resort to tea lights or homemade LED constructions.

With default settings, press button 1 on the Wiimote to activate the
mouse mode, then point it to an IR light source. For more info on this
subject, please have a look in the FAQ as a lot of info are available
there regarding the IR feature.

The Nunchuk is still on the pile of hardware in my office, that I want
to add support for, though.

Best regards,
Felix
