Power button on Wii remote

Is it possible, hardware wise, to bind an action to the power button on the Wii? Not the hold, just the press. I would like to bind it to say launch the screen saver or put the Mac to sleep.

Hello Phillip,

from all that I know it's not. Remote Buddy only receives button
events for all other buttons, but the power button does seem to just
turn off the remote and no button events are being sent for it - at
least not over any channel I know of.

Best regards,
Felix

I had a hunch that it may be like that.
How about this small suggestion, have the option to bind an action to the Wii disconnection.
