Mousespot not visible on external display with Keynote?
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I've been experimenting with Remote Buddy over the last few days, and in general have been quite impressed. I do quite a few presentations, and so I liked the Mousespot effect. Today I hooked my Macbook up to a projector and ran a Keynote screenshow. Everything worked great except for Mousespot. When I would activate it, I would see the circle on the "presenter" display (my Macbook LCD), but not on the projected image. Interestingly, the projected image would dim slightly, as Mousespot normally acts, but the "spot" would not show up on that image.

Has anyone else noted this behavior? Am I doing something wrong, or is there a workaround?

One other datapoint: When I run a Preview (PDF) screenshow, mousespot does appear on the projected image...

In case it matters, I'm running 10.5.1, and the newest version of Keynote.

Hi,

the mousespot feature does support multiple screens. It does of course
only show the spot on one display at a time, yet still darken the
other display until you eventually move the mouse pointer to the other
display.
