Front Row disappears after recent update of iTunes, Front Row and RB behaviour
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I just updated iTunes to the latest version of iTunes 7.6.2 as well as the latest version of Front Row. This propmted RB to get a new behaviour which I also downloaded and installed.

Now when I use Front Row (invoked via RB behaviour) to listen to Music, Front Row disappears after a few minutes and I'm left with the desktop. When I use the Apple Remote to access Front Row again (say Menu) it stops playback and takes me to Front Row main menu (as if it had restarted anew).

What is going on here - which update has caused this change in behaviour?

Under Leopard

- iTunes will stop music playback as soon as Front Row is launched

- Front Row will stop music playback as soon as you quit Front Row

- Front Row no longer uses iTunes for playback (as opposed to Tiger)

That's how Apple designed it in Leopard and how even a fresh Leopard
install behaves and Remote Buddy has no means to influence, configure
or change these. AFAIK none of this can be configured or changed at
all - especially as all Apple code on Leopard is now code-signed.

The iTunes Behaviour does not relate at all to Front Row, nor did the
update contain any changes towards that end.

So I'm afraid it's a pure Front Row issue.
