mapping keystrokes in Global Behaviour
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hello all,
I'm working on a project and I basically want to map a bunch of keystrokes to the buttons on a WiiMote so I can use these shortcut keystrokes to control a program (VirtualDJ) with a WiiMote. (e.g. map CMD+1 to the up button, CMD+2 to the down button, etc.)

I figured the proper place in Mappings would be to edit the Global Behavior section of the WiiMote, but I am unable to create a Custom Action there that would allow me to hardwire keystrokes to the WiiMote. It gives me existing behaviors to choose from, but nothing that would allow me to create a custom action.

Am I just going about this the wrong way or am I missing something? Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for asking.

Custom Actions are currently not available for the Global Mapping
table. You can, however

1) create actions in the Behaviour Construction Kit
2) check the respective checkbox to make them globally available
3) then select them in the Global Mapping table (=> they can be found
under "Miscellaneous" in the popup)
