RemoteBuddy does not remember which hardware to is active or disabled
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I have the MS MCE remote receiver which receives the input of the Apple remote.
In Remote Buddy I disable the build-in apple remote and enable the MCE receiver.

Unfortunately, after restarting the computer Remote Buddy has the build-in receiver enabled and the MCE receiver disabled again :-(

How can I change that?

Thanks for asking.

Right now Remote Buddy dynamically discovers which devices are
attached to your Mac and gives the Apple IR Receiver precendence for
the Apple Remote because it offers the most functionality for it
(especially wakeup, something MCE receivers usually don't support with
an Apple Remote). The status of the receivers therefore can't be saved
at this time.

thanks for the info. But I would like to let you know that this is a blocker for me. It means that I cannot have the Mac boot into a status where RemoteBuddy works. This is unacceptable for a media computer attached to a TV.

Therefore I would be very happy if you consider supporting this in a release in the near future.

Small update: Version 1.12 of Remote Buddy now has an option to not
deactivate the Apple IR receiver on application startup, which should
essentially solve your problem.
