Stopped working

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I just upgraded to Remore Buddy 1.12 and it stopped working. It has been many months since I needed to use the remote (I use it for Acrobat Reader), and when I first pressed a button on the remote, a sort of battery-like symbol flashed a few times. Perhaps it was trying to tell me that the battery is low in the remote. (The remote that came with my MacBook two years ago.) Now the MacOS remote functions seem to work (volume adjusts, etc.) but Remote Buddy behaves as if it does not see the remote, even though MacOS does.

UPDATE: false alarm. I neglected to install the driver, 1.5.5.
Did so, now it works.

Do the Built-In IR receiver and Apple Remote turn up in Remote Buddy's
preferences?

Did you pair your remote with Remote Buddy or enable support for
multiple remotes in Remote Buddy?

Please make sure you have the latest Remote Buddy driver installed
(you may need to restart Remote Buddy and/or OS X after driver
installation for the updated driver to be loaded).

Please also walk through FAQ015E0222 ("Remote Buddy does no longer
react to button presses on the remote.").

Best regards,
