Hello,

sorry for my english speaking but it's not my first language.

My mac is a macmini core duo 1.6Ghz, 1Go ram.

I tried remote buddy with a trial version.

When remote buddy is activated my apple remote works, if remote buddy is desactivated the remote works since i reboot my mac, after the reboot remote dont work.

I uninstall remote buddy but the remote don't works, i reinstall it : remote works.

I search with spotlight any word like "remote buddy" or "iospirit" but there's nothing.

Thanks for asking.

Which version of OS X are you using?

Which version of Remote Buddy are you using?

After a reboot, do you see your IR receiver in System Profiler.app >
USB ?

I'm using lastests versions of Leopard & Remote Buddy.

I can see IR receiver in System Profiler.app >
USB.

Hmm, then, from a technical point of view, everything should just work.

There are still a few "traps" that you can tap into, though. Did you,
for example, pair the Apple Remote with your Mac? While the pairing is
usually enforced regardless of whether Remote Buddy is running or not,
this is not necessarily the case when using the multiple remotes mode
of Remote Buddy. In that mode, Remote Buddy allows presses from
different remotes, while, when Remote Buddy is not running, the
pairing to a single remote is effective.

The same also applies if you disabled the Apple IR Receiver in your
System Preferences. Both pairing and disabling of the Apple Remote is
configured at System Preferences > Security.

Please be sure to also take a look at the FAQ entry FAQ015E0222 for
more ideas and information.

If the problem persists:

In a moment where the problem is apparent, launch System Profiler,
select Save, save as XML/SPX file and email the file to the email
address found at http://www.iospirit.com/imprint/
