Remote streaming?

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Felix, any way we can add a URL for accessing RB remotely?

For instance, I'd like to stream my music to the iPhone over the internet, not just via Wi-Fi. I have a static IP and wanted to configure...

Any way to do this? Thanks.

Thanks for asking.

The AJAX Remote works over standard HTTP and the built-in RapidHTTPD server engine listens on all network interfaces (on port 8888 by default).

Remote Buddy currently doesn't support any "remote access" option on its own, but since, technically, its a normal webserver, you can make it remotely accessible in the same way as you can with any other webserver that runs on your Mac. You'll find instructions on the web on how to configure your router and computer, so that you can access a webserver on it remotely (just be sure to replace port 80 with port 8888).
