Keyspan IR Remote & mythfrontend

I'm having a problem with the Keyspan IR Remote & mythfrontend (0.22) on snow leopard.

the remote is working, but when i use the up and down arrows to change channels, sometimes it'll overshoot the current channel -- ie, i'll press the up button quickly (not holding it down), and sometimes it'll go 3-4 channels instead of just one.

The behavior seems intermittent and not consistent and is really annoying, is there a setting in mythfrontend or remotebuddy to reduce the sensitivity of the remote, or prevent it from sending repeat commands to mythfrontend?

thanks
