Bonjour disappeared???
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
A few days ago I went to use the AJAX remote and it wouldn't connect. I tried restarting and it still didn't work, so I looked in the prefs and the Bonjour entry was no longer in the list of interfaces. Does anyone know why? It's really kind of annoying because my ip changes a few times a day it seems.

Thanks.

Thanks for asking.

The Bonjour URL should always appear - unless the OS X API call SCDynamicStoreCopyLocalHostName() returns NULL.

The developer documentation says it only returns NULL, if the machine's hostname hasn't been set (at System Preferences > Sharing > Devicename) or if an error has been encountered (=> you may want to check your system and console logs for error messages).

At any rate, this is a general issue on your machine and nothing Remote Buddy has any influence on.
