EyeTV rewind and fast-forward with the alu Apple remote
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,

I'm having issues using rewind and fast-forward (FF) with the alu Apple remote in EyeTV 3. I've set remote buddy up to rewind when holding down the left arrow and FF when holding down the right arrow.

However, when I try to rewind (or FF) EyeTV rewinds for a couple of seconds and then stops. This happens no matter how long I hold down the left arrow. To get around this I've set the up and down arrows to skip backwards and forwards respectively but I would really like to get it working properly.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Kev.

Thanks for asking.

Which IR receiver are you using?

Which distance do the IR receiver and remote have?

Is there a *direct* line of sight between the two when the problem occurs?

Best regards,
Felix Schwarz

Hi Felix,

I'm using the built-in IR receiver on a Mac Mini (last model without HDMI port). The Mini is approx 3 metres away.

There is a clear line of sight between the receiver and the remote. All other functions work perfectly.

Thanks :)
