JumpSMS in Plex/XBMC
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
When allowing Plex or XBMC native access to the IR input they both support the JumpSMS (i.e. T9-style number-to-letter mapping) input. But with RemoteBuddy active this does not seem to work. I assume this is due to a limitation in Plex/XBMC wherein the UDP keyboard emulation does not trigger this JumpSMS signaling -- is there any way to work around this limitation in RemoteBuddy?

Thanks for asking.

If you want to, you can also pass through all Apple Remote events to Plex. Please see "Q: I'd like to use the Harmony remote mode of Plex." at

for the few steps needed.
