Multiple remotes Support with external IR receiver (ovu 4110)
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi Felix & other users,
I got the the external receiver for a mac but unfortunately after doing
the remote buddy update to the actual version I can not see anymore an option for multiple remote support.

Preferences-->hardware shows "Philips OVU 4110" and one remote with 134.

It doesn't show the option for multiple remotes.
Only I can pair with that remote, then the other remote works (as supposed)
Also the original apple remote is not shown at all in remote buddy.

What is the problem?
Is it my configuration or the philips receiver?
...or do I have to choose another logitech harmony configuration?

Thx in advance,
Oliver

Thanks for asking.

Multiple Apple Remotes are currently only supported for Apple's IR Receiver. Regardless, Remote Buddy's Virtual Remote will still transport / make available the embedded Apple Remote ID to other OS X apps.

What do you mean with "the original apple remote is not shown at all in remote buddy"?

Best regards,
